Is it October already? Cuz I was @ the beach. //GW
Anywayz, it's Geek Wednesday again. And the new iPhone came out. And if you guys still don't see it I'll say it again. Nothing on that new features list is well, new. Check the Android phones of today and you'll see stuff much much better for the same or better price. Oh and they didn't even bother of changing the visuals.
But still here's the article.

Some Dance for your eyes...
.... and some Dubstep For ya earz. enjoy.
KTHXBYE (And yeah I missed some days, some due to my internet being downright stupid and some due to me forgetting. Next week I'll introduce a new special day.)

This. Is. WAAAAAR //GW
SO, it's G33k Wednesday.

Yup. October 4 we'll get another iPhone on the market. My predictions? higher price (here an iPhone 4 costs about 650€ for the cheapest model) and maybe 1 or 2 new features. Sorry, for me the iPhone is no more than a fashion statement. You want a GREAT phone? Samsung galaxy SII. 'nuff said. Plus that's Android. I really don't see the point of getting an iPhone when you can get so much more of a phone for such a price. At least here in Portugal.
Moving on to dancing. Movement Lifestyle. Created by Shaun Evaristo, it's sort of an agency for choreographers, and they ocasionally put out some good dance pieces, and go to competitions and stuff. this is an exhibition from this summer.
And one more music taken from a Sh*tkingz set. What can I say? they have a great taste.
See ya.

Resting the outfit. //EMTT
Moving forward to Epic Meal Time Businessssss.
Bitches & Mac & Cheese. Good stuff.
Now I'm gonna show you someone that is much more than just a hella great dancer. Salah, from France. This guy is a comedian, is an actor, and is an awesome dancer. This is from 2006, not the best quality, but good enough for you to see the talent (mind you, this man won France's got talent in 200X) It's broken into 2 parts cuz youtube wouldn't allow more than 10min per video.
Music, today Something different from usual, and the cover of this album is still making me wonder it's logic. Take your conclusions. BTW this was on one of Sh*tkingz performances.
And finally. Sorry for missing a couple of days. See ya tomorrow. PEACE

Looking for freshmen, day three. //GW
It's Geek Wednesday! Today's Story.
Video games that help scientists. Foldit, created in 2008 by the University of Washington, asks players in competing groups to unfold chains of amino acids using in-game tools. In this case, those virtual amino acids corresponded to a real-life enzyme that scientists had been trying to decipher for a decade. The gamers created a model in just three weeks. Check it out people. This is something we can do to help science evolve. And have fun in the process. Other related program is Folding@home. An application that is helping scientist discover more about diseases like parkinson's, alzheimer's, and many cancers. All that you need to do is install the application and 'lend' your processor power to them, so they can use that power, in addition to thousands maybe millions of other users, and possibly supercomputers, to fasten the process. This can help find a cure for hundreds of diseases people! look at the possibilities.

Also, check out Folding@home
Moving on to some not-so-serious business, some dance material. This krump Vs Turf battle is so sick.. omagawd. When this Retro guy starts he does an awesome stunt like his head comes off. It's so perfectly executed. I was blown away by that single move. Oh ans Tight eyez is The Creator of the Krumping style. He is the father of that genre. The other guy just wanted to show his area's style, Turf, witch is like the bastard brother of popping. Am i being clear? Gewd.
The awesomeness continues in round 2. check that out as well.
Music. Something different for a change. D'Vo - Humanize.. . So relaxing, so soothing. Awesome.
D'Vo - Humanize.. by beattape_co_opblog
And today one more comic from Endless Origami. But just because of this new facebook thingy. See ya tomorrow

Looking for freshmen, day two. //EMTT
It's Epic Meal Time Tuesday! I posted late today as i was waiting to see if today's episode was good enough to jump straight here. but they haven't uploaded it yet so I'll just show you another one of my favorites. The Fast Food Lasagna. It will blow your mind, and your wallet.
Dance shtuff. Let me show you one of my all time favorite routines. Lando Wilkin's Sweet Dreams piece. The only way this could be more awesome is if the 4th guy did the entire thing and not leave at the last moments.
'Aiight, music. I'm in the mood for Swedish House Mafia, and I quite enjoy the new coldplay song. So..
See ya tomorrow.

Looking for freshmen, day one.
Moving on. Dance video today. Just look at these kids. There are no words capable of describing the awesomoness of these young boys. And the style is Krumping, it's hard, it's dirty.
amirite?
Sounds. Today I'm showing you one of my favorite Drum&Bass track ever. Nuff said.
And finally, the imagery.
domingo, 18 de setembro de 2011
Back to civilization.
Let us begin. Today I show you the Super Galactic Beat Manipulators (or SGBM). This crew was originally formed by a select group of great minds from the business, like Lando wilkins for example. But times have changed and with the crew suffering various makeovers, this year they came up really strong and have been growing with time. In this video @ Body Rock, they placed 3rd. But on the competition next to this one, Hip Hop International, They won the national division and placed like 2nd in the World division. So they are really good. And the best thing about this performance is that it evokes the soul of hip hop. enjoy some real classic sounds and a really fun piece.
On the music section, I present to you the latest hit from Swedish House Mafia & Knife Party, unveilled at the Pete Tong radio show on friday (the one I talked about). This is DA SHIT. Seriously forget that sorta radio themed save the world. This one is to explode your subwoofers.
Finishing up, a rhapsody of imagery by my very liked Endless Origami. See ya tomorrow.
sexta-feira, 16 de setembro de 2011
It's Friday friday, Gotta get down on (...) -.-
Don't expect a post here tomorrow, as I'm going deep into the country side where there is not enough coverage to make a decent phone call, let alone connect to the interwebz. I'll make it up on sunday.
Right let's watch some things. I was talking yesterday about tutting and most of you may not know what that is. Well here you have a perfect example of finger tutting, and then 'regular' tutting. And this is for a commercial for a phone. Samsung really had a genius moment with this. the guy is JayFunk, already famous for his other finger tutting video that I may post here one day. HD is a must people !
Music. Tonight I had to post something related to Swedish House Mafia, as they are killing it in the Pete Tong radio show tonight. Sebastian Ingrosso And Alesso's ''Calling''. Awesome tune.
Pics. jesus christ I found this web comic called Stick and Dick. I must post more than one. they are so small and so... so... just look
srsly nao.
quinta-feira, 15 de setembro de 2011
Boredom on sale.
Dance. Today I present to you Mike Song. And a violin.
His dubstep routines are awesome. Full of power, and most of the times full of tutting as well, and I just love the art of tutting. Next to locking it's my favourite style. But here he's just playing around. check out what he did with the nintendo Wii song.
And speaking of dubstep, here you go, This might be more popular now because of it's use on Kanye West and Jay-z's song ''Who gon stop me''. This is the original from one of the big names of dubstep, Flux Pavillion
And finishing up, another enlighting Endless Origami Comic mentioning prOn.

The first Geeky injection.
I'm starting to really get pissed about my new college year. Of all the freaking schedule possibilities, they have put me entering everyday at around 3PM and leaving at 8PM. What kind of crap is this? Oh, and on Mondays, witch is the most sacred day for me as it is when I have dance classes, at 8PM, they have put me having a Lab class until 9h30 PM. WHAT? This will not end here, I'm gonna demand someone's head if I don't get to have my weekly dance injection with the best group of people I have ever had the pleasure of sharing a mirror with. Seriously, You wouldn't like when I don't have my weekly dose. Heads WILL roll.
SO, today, a new feature, and in the future much more to come. so, after the success (?) of EPIC MEAL TIME TUESDAYS, ... Introducing
Geek Wednesdays!
This will be that day of the week when you get to know and embrace your inner geek. And what better way to do so than to show some cool japanese stuff? here goes today's injection of geekness!
This has made my jaw drop so hard. This is water people, and the calculations involved to do those 'drawings' must be so precise. This has some pure engineering skillz involved. It's something you have never seen before, it's not that bellagio fountain's style witch is really just some water jets with colorful lights and random water drippings on everywhere. This can be used to do so many things. It's just like an LCD, only with a much limited frame rate. Amazing.
Moving on to the general topics of interest, let's watch some Portuguese people dancing! Today a taste from my homeland. The choreographer? Carlos Neto, An ascending choreographer working currently in London, And ambassador of WOD London witch is going down at the end of this month. I Love his style. And it's so good to know there are some Portuguese guys who can really dance ! And even more kewlness, yours truly is present in this video! look for J in the gray tee with the red cap. Or don't, probably better off.
A very groovy piece. what an awesome class it was.
On the music 'bizz, I'm following the geekness to show you this absolute genius mash up from Madeon. this 16 year old boy is a freaking genius, and he made this piece live, what you are about to see came out on the first attempt. he has programmed that controller full of lights with sound cues from 39 different songs. And the result? see for yourself.
Finishing up today, a big image consisting of multiple images, it still is one..
terça-feira, 13 de setembro de 2011
The EMTT Files.
And tomorrow I'm introducing a new special day, the ''Tech Wednesdays''. Be sure to come on by.
Starting the festivities, one of my favourites from the Sauce Bausses. the Turbaconepic Thanksgiving.
One day, one day I shall attempt this.
Alright, Let's keep the hype then shall we? DANCE!
Tonight, I introduce to you JubaFilms. And their piece ''Big trouble in little bistro''. Very nice B-boy skillz these two have, and a good comedy sense too. And the two big production pieces they have are about food. How interesting.
You must watch in HD, it's a whole different thing.
And the Sounds section today has a real treat. Reggie Watts, with the amazing single ''Fuck Shit Stack''.
Wrapping up the whole thing, why not some (Teddy) Bear Grylls humour.
enjoy.

Straight to the point.
Dance (Reflecting very damn well my state of mind) Piece by Brian Puspos.
Music. A remix of Kelly Rowland's 'Motivation'.

What if.. ?
If a random guy is working at some place, and I get there with a simple, concrete question (to witch I already know half the answer), and the guy says ''Sorry, we don't know how to do that''' really? you cannot do something that your superior has told me 2 days ago that he's able to do it? I actually knew more of what I was speaking than the guy that's getting paid for being at the other end of the counter (and this guy was really lame I mean, i get to the store, he's fixing some stuff on HIS phone, singing loudly, i come in, i stare at him for like a minute, and then he looks up with the most durrply face I've seen IRL), of course this was not the first time it happened, but this is the first time I have a blog where I can complain about it. So I drifted a little bit off the point, what I mean is: If I know more than the guy who is getting paid to know those things, why the hell can't someone better than him take the job? This is our problem people, It's through connects that you get jobs. And then you get lousy workers who know shit about what they're supposed to be endorsing/selling. And then you end up making almost a fool of yourself trying to explain to that guy what he should already know. //rant
Okay that was not so little. Oh well, I got caught up as I was typing. Plus, it's a change from the posts where I just talk about weather (and speaking of witch, WTF so much rain, I lost the count of how many times my RWD car lost traction each time I started to move (on the other hand, Mad drifting skillz with my suzuki jimny!))
Time to get to the good part of the post, the part where I shut up and start showing you some interesting stuff. Dance, shall we? Today a treat. A video from U-min, a japanese crew specialized in popping. This is quite an old video, so don't expect the visual quality to be like the videos I've been posting so far. This is some of the best popping action you'll see.
Some parts you just get amazed how this is really unadultered.
Time for some music. Introducing Rej3ctz. I only know this one song from them, and I don't ask for more really, I don't want to get disappointed if this is the one good song they got. Cat daddy. Check out Chris Brown kidding around throughout the video.
And finally, some visual aid. I saw this first one while surfing a bit in the afternoon, I know I've been posting a lot from endless origami, but hey they are really funny ! And if you think about it, this one really says what your brain always thought.
sexta-feira, 9 de setembro de 2011
I've been spending too much time IRL vol.1 Or Setting things straight vol.2 a.k.a. Sorry for the wait vol.3
Okay let's talk business. Dance Business that is. Lots of stuff to choose from as always. Correction: Lots of Awesome stuff to choose from. Each day I post something, 5 seconds later I remember another video and I go like ''How the hell haven't I posted that yet?!''. It's painfull really. Oh well, have some Brian Puspos. Nuff' Said
After that, meet the Sh*tKingz being serious at a competition, wich they've, well... won.
Sounds. Today an Hip Hop Classic. Break ya Neck by the big one, Busta Rhymes. Dooooopee. and i recomend the moment around 1 minute through. that's dance battle GOLD right there
And then One from the latest Big Sean Album. Music to one of the dance videos I already posted here from Lando Wilkins
Now for some random imagery. Enjoy. I'm off.
quarta-feira, 7 de setembro de 2011
Setting things straight.
Right, dance. Today, the Sh*tKingz! these awesome, super nice fellas really know how to rock a stage. When a group of 4 people beats tenths of other crews made up of 20, 30, 40 + guys dancing together, they have to really push it. and they do. I'll show you this little piece, later on I'll post a video of some competition that they've entered, and won.
Real groovy stuff, they have an outstanding sense of musicality in my opinion.
Moving on to the 'tunes. Today remembering the good old black eyed peas times. the times where they weren't That popular, when they actually produced their own songs and not just lame remixes of other old songs. Times when you could actually Listen to black eyed peas. I miss those times. Serving also to drift a bit away from the alternative sounds I've been listening, and posting here.
Right? This is what you have to do again BEP. And yes, it is the song from the sh*tkingz video. it's a good song !
Finishing up, another webcomic from Endless Origami. I'm liking their stuff a lot. it's simple, quick comedy.
terça-feira, 6 de setembro de 2011
New Stuff! a.k.a. Sorry for the wait vol.2
Introducing. .
THE EPICMEALTIME TUESDAYS !
yup, the epic culinary youtube show just couldn't pass below the desk here at my office. I am a HUGE fan of their 'masterpieces', especially of the bacon. oh god, the bacon, and the saauces. dripping them saauces like a bawss.
So, skipping with the yip-yap, here it is. I'll begin by showing you today's video. Later on I'll shuffle things a bit. This time with a collabo with FreddieW, another awesome channel, be sure to check them out.
Moving on to our dance section. I'll start with Quest Crew today, Champions of season (?) of America's Best Dance Crew, here with a mastermix of LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem. enjoy
Following that, Introducing (I start to think this is my word of the day) Les Twins! fucking machines. With an ego reaching the skies, I don't really care about their ego, cuz when someone dances like this
I really don't care. They are just awesome.
Music. Today, I start by introducing (see? again -.-) to you, Häzel. This is the guy who produces the beats for Drake. His album, ''The lost tapes'' has some phresh beats. really really phresh. here's one of them.
And something a (HUGE) bit different. SBTRKT. Don't ask for the pronunciation of that, I'm also still trying to figure how that works too. But for someone with such a weird name, they make some good audio prOn too. and it's.. joyfull. enjoy
has that summer feeling to it. I love it.
Imagery closing up the tab. Big big post today (that suits me for not being here yesterday). hope you enjoy it. J signing out.
domingo, 4 de setembro de 2011
Woops a.k.a Sorry for the wait vol.1
Moving on to actual interesting stuff. As I missed a day, today will be DOUBLE.
Yeah, so. Dance. A couple of my favorites from youtube. First one, Mos Wanted Crew. A crew that was created in the beginning of 2011, by a group of geniuses. Lando Wilkins, Bam Martin, Jun Quemado, Jawn Ha, Brian Puspos, etc, etc. All of them are fantastic. And they decided to make a crew. So I only expect awesomeness from them. And I still don't know how they didn't get into MTV's Americas Best Dance Crew.
But who did get in ABDC was IamMe. And they won. They didn't even have any competition, they were simply light years better than everybody else. Because they're style is something people never seen. You have to watch they're videos at least 3-5 times to get the entire picture and everything that's happening. enjoy
Music. OMG the music. Tecas fixed me some pure gold. For your Delight, Andrew Bayer. Instead of posting two different songs, just have his full TATW guest mix ! Ear prOn, headphones ON.

I need my fix, man
Dance. Remember me talking about a guy called Lyle Beniga? Of course you do, I talked about him yesterday, how could you NOT remember? I didn't, so here's a little more work by him. One of my favourite routines of this summer.
HD , if you please.
Music. It was really hard to pick one thing out of a lot of new and awesome stuff that I found today. Eventually I made up my mind and here it is, Gbye by Machinedrum. Ever heard of them? I hadn't. And I'm loving their work. So... different!
PICZ
Today, a View of life and it's evolution. In a webcomic way.

I thought we were in the summer ..
Very well then, let us see. Nothing like a good dance moment to raise the mood.
Today it's from one of the big ones, Shaun Evaristo. The guy is like a legend almost among the dance people, you say the name and immediately there is a ''uuuuh'' in the room. So Shaun is the creator of this little fun piece, but it's Actually Lyle Beniga who get's the spotlight. And Lyle isn't anything short of awesome too. Later on I'll obviously show some of his work.
Music. Today something unexpected, as I roamed one of my new favourite places in the web, I found this set from these guys called Background Sound. Although the beginning is a bit lame I know, it's gets a loooot better believe me.
Percussion Lab - Background Sound - Exclusive DJ Mix
Picture time. Unfortunately I missed the chance (thanks to my camera's battery dying precisely at THE moment of today), of getting one of those perfect double rainbows. the sky was so freaking orange and the rainbows, wow. So I'll just leave you with this.
Got it? STOP EVERYTHING
and a really cool pic from france.
Damn you St. Peter, Y U NO make the sun appear more?

Captain's Log, Day One
Anywayzzz, today's dance video (and it's really fresh too, just came out on youtube)
This one is by one of my idols, Lando Wilkins A.K.A Bang Jenkins. I had the chance of meeting him personally and it was an awesome experience. DOOOOPE
Following that, a song by a guy i didn't know until i saw the rerun of the VMA's yesterday, Tyler the Creator. I'm really digging his style, at least from what i heard of him so far
And image of the day so far
Expect these guys a lot, I'm quite into memes and rage comics.
terça-feira, 30 de agosto de 2011
Captain's Log, Day Zero
Following that, the sickest dubstep track i've heard in a while.
Kastle - Bring Me Back by Seclusiasis
These 2 things have been making me company for the last few days, and kinda reflect my state of mind lately.
Oh, and pic of the day without a doubt.
''free lybia bro, but dont get tiered'' - Tecas
Starting off.
A lot of stuff related to and not only:
- Dance (expect this A LOT. I'm literally a dance junkie. I dance for a while (6 years) so that will be big here.)
- Music. Everybody loves music, I'm just one more guy.
- People. Around me or not. Or myself. Everyday situations and random ramblings.
- Photography. A not so big topic. Although of course, one must recognize when something is good.
And I'm not That much of an hipster. Just when comparing with most people in my friend circle. Other than that I'm usually against hipsters (more so when they're young people with a serious case of the know-it-all'ism). Just to clear the title choice.
Oh I almost forgot. Rage comics may appear once in a while ..
Starts and Begginings.
The purpose? random zombie mode shenanigans. So the start is already quite compelling as you see.
A need to set the mind loose, to look deep into my perspectives. A need to let that inner geek run free. To comment the world that is transmitted into my eyes.
I'm J. Welcome to my mind.
